I know, I know. I’m starting this post with my usual apology for the radio silence on here! If keeping a blog up to date was a New Year’s resolution, I’d have failed it by January 2nd (right along with my annual attempt to eat less chocolate). 😂

But while the blog has been quiet, my life behind the lens has been anything but. Looking back at 2025, I am genuinely blown away by the year I’ve had. It’s been a total whirlwind of incredible couples, stunning venues, and working alongside the absolute best in the business.

A few things I’m shouting about

I’m not one to brag, but I’m so proud to share that for the 8th year running, I was named a Top 3 videographer in Derby.

Best Videographers in Derby

That one always hits different because it’s based entirely on the reviews and feedback from my couples. Knowing that my couples took the time to write such kind words about their films is exactly what keeps me motivated to work as hard as I do. To top it off, I officially surpassed 80 five-star reviews on Google this year! Reading through them never gets old and I am so grateful for every single one.

The places I call home

One of the highlights of 2025 was working at some of the most beautiful venues in the country. It is such a privilege to be a recommended supplier for places like Stubton Hall, Swancar Farm, The West Mill, Norwood Park, Alrewas Hayes, Foxtail Barns, The Mill Barns, Pendrell Hall, The Ashes Barn, and Shottle Hall, just to name a few.

I’ve spent so much time at these gorgeous venues that they feel like a second home now. I know exactly where the light hits best and how the teams work, which makes capturing your day so much smoother. A huge thank you to the staff at all my regular haunts for always making me feel so welcome!

Real life vs. The Grid

I’ll always be the first to admit that my social media and blog often take a backseat. When I’m not out shooting, I’m buried in the edit suite or spending time with my family. My priority is always making sure my couples get the best possible film & service, even if it means I’m a bit quiet on Instagram & the blog! Just know that if I’m not posting, it’s only because I’m busy making something special for someone else.

Bring on 2026!

So, what’s the plan for 2026? My calendar is already looking incredibly busy and I am itching to get started. I’m finishing up the last few edits from the end of 2025 as we speak, and then it’s full steam ahead.

To my 2026 couples: I can’t wait to get behind the camera and capture every bit of the joy, laughter, and confetti that your big days will bring!

Well here we are again, another year goes by and another year I’m apologising for a rather quiet blog! Thank goodness I’m not held to account for my New Years resolutions (Diet starts Monday, but which Monday?) 😂

But here I am, another year into this wonderful adventure of filming weddings. It’s been another whirlwind of amazing wedding days, stunning brides and grooms, drop dead gorgeous venues, and working alongside some of the best suppliers in the country.

I’ll start with some achievements that I’m extremely proud of. For the 5th year running I was awarded Top 3 videographer in Derby and for the 2nd year running I won a Hitched award.

The Hitched award is particularly special as this is judged entirely from the reviews that couples leave me. There’s no buying this award or nominating yourself for it. It makes it incredibly rewarding to receive this recognition and motivates me to continue working as hard as possible for my couples!

I’ve also created some wonderful relationships with venues and become recommended suppliers for them. Having their backing and receiving the trust of a recommendation is something I’m proud to have, especially when it’s from venues that I know so well and absolutely love.

I’m now a recommended supplier for: Swancar Farm, The West Mill, Norwood Park, Alrewas Hayes, Foxtail Barns, The Mill Barns, Pendrell Hall, The Ashes Barn, and Shottle Hall

Each one of these venues is somewhere I have worked countless times and I know the staff and location so well. I love going back time and time again, so it’s an absolute honour to be one of their recommended suppliers.

A particular shout out to some of the gorgeous Cripps & Co venues I’ve shot at during 2023 too, including Hazel Gap Barn and Grangefields.

One of my self admitted struggles is keeping my social media and website up to date. I’m always so engrossed in shooting, editing and staying in touch with my couples that my online presence sometimes falls by the wayside. I promise that I’m always here, working hard and delivering the best possible videos for my couples!

Speaking of delivering the best possible videos, this year I officially hit over fifty 5 star reviews on Google! This honestly blows my mind, I can’t thank the couples who took the time to leave a review enough.

So, how about 2024? My calendar is practically full, with just one or two more available dates for this year. I absolutely can’t wait to hit 2024 with the same energy and passion as last year. I can’t wait to visit some new venues, as well as revisiting the ones I’ve been to countless times. And most of all, I can’t wait to share so many special days with my couples, capturing amazing moments and creating beautiful videos!
